This is a summary of reports from the Northern California 
BirdBox, sponsored by the Golden Gate Audubon Society, compiled
27 April 2008 at 09:00 p.m.

Highlights: MANX SHEARWATER, SOOTY SHEARWATER, PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER, 
BLACK SCOTER, BLUE-WINGED TEAL, ROCK SANDPIPER, BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE,
RHINOCEROS AUKLET, PAINTED REDSTART, LARK BUNTING.

San Francisco Co.

On Apr 26, a PAINTED REDSTART was seen at half way up the trail
from El Polin Springs in the Presidio.  (Eric Osterhaus)

On Apr 23, a female RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was seen on McNab Lake in
McLaren Park. (Lee Carney)

San Mateo Co.

On Apr 27, a sea watch from Pigeon Point reported a MANX SHEARWATER,
(12) SOOTY SHEARWATER, (1) PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER, a ROCK SANDPIPER 
was flying north over the water, (3) RHINOCEROS AUKLET, and high count
of (15,300) PACIFIC LOONS. (Ron Thorn)

On Apr 25, a sea watch from Pigeon Point reported (53) SOOTY SHEARWATER,
(2) PINK-FOOTED SHEARWATER, (2) BLACK SCOTER, (2) THAYER'S GULL,
(1) BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE, and (2) RHINOCEROS AUKLETS. (Ron Thorn)

Stanislaus Co.

On Apr 26, the LARK BUNTING continues to be seen at the corner of 
Crabtree Road and Warnerville Road. From Hwy 120 near Knight's Ferry, 
take Willms Rd about 7 miles until it winds to the junction of 
Crabtree and Warnerville. (Joe Devine, Chris Conard)

Marin Co.

On Apr 26, BLUE-WINGED TEAL, CINNAMON TEAL and GREEN-WNGED TEAL were
seen at the east end of the first pond at Las Gallinas.
