YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS: A flock of 36-50 in a field adjacent to the
University of Irvine, closed marsh area west of Campus Drive... inside a
black cyclone fence area at the north end of the "FDA" building. (today,
5/7)
GRAY FLYCATCHER: today, at Peters Canyon Regional Park, in the brush just
south of the dam at the foot of the steep hill.
SUMMER TANAGER: dull female on 5/6 (Tues) at Laguna Niguel Regional Park.
VAUX SWIFT: A flock today along Aliso Creek (lower end).
BALTIMORE ORIOLE: Tues, in a neighborhood in easter Orange near Newport Av
and Santiago Canyon Rd.
EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE: May 3rd (Sunday) at Harriet Wieder Park in
Huntington Beach.
GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE (east side of Huntington Central Park, Jack Green Area)
and BELL'S VIREO (west side, northeast of Shipley Nature Center) on
Saturday.
AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER: possible hybrids that are around, at Crystal Cove,
north Laguna Beach, on May 2nd and 3rd.
GULL-BILLED TERN: 2 at the footbridge at Bolsa Chica Preserve on May 1st.
NORTHERN CARDINAL: presumed exotic... east Anaheim area on Tues.
BALD EAGLE: today, around Lyons and St Andrews Pl in Santa Ana, flyover.
