WHIP-POOR-WILL
One was heard vocalizing at Heart Bar Campground near Barton Flats in the
San Bernardino Mtns. on 5/20 (MSM). Exact details are on Birdbox.
PHILADELPHIA VIREO
One was reported from a mixed flock at the mouth of Big Sycamore Cyn. near
Pt. Mugu on 5/17 (TM).
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER
One was at Big Morongo Canyon near the caretaker's house on 5/18 (JF).
OVENBIRD
One was at Banning Park on 5/22 (TM), and another was along the Willow Tr.
at Big Morongo (JF).
AMERICAN REDSTART
One was at Covington Park adjacent to Big Morongo on 5/18 (JF).
WORM-EATING WARBLER
One was near the caretaker's house at Big Morongo on 5/18 (JF).
INDIGO BUNTING
One apparently territorial bird was seen by BL on 5/23 at a pull-out along
Angeles Crest Hwy. 7 miles north of Foothill Blvd.
PRAIRIE FALCON
One flew past TM over the 110 Fwy. in Carson on 5/23.
