Sequoyah in= Fayetteville at this time. =C2=A0My hummer was last seen (sob, boo hoo hoo= ) on the morning of the 10th. =C2=A0Unless there has been another sighting = reported on Mt, Sequoyah, the RBA posted today isn't correct. =C2=A0To my k= nowledge the only rufous in the area is the handsome little male who is mak= ing quite a splash and posing for photographs at the Johnson's feeder in Fa= rmington.=C2=A0 SaraMt. This area is north a= nd west of Dagmar WMA. They were found feeding along the back of a flooded = field, then they took flight and headed south. =0A =0AOn the Lonoke CBC, Arkansas's first ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER (pending acc= eptance by the ARBC) was found by Ladonna and Kenny Nichols. It was in a = small tract of woods on the north side of Bob Long Road about 2.75 miles ea= st of HWY 31. This would be the first patch of woods on the north side of t= he road once you pass Anderson Road. Bob Long Road is about 6 miles south o= f Joe Hogan Fish Hatchery.=20 =0A =0AFrom the Fayetteville CBC, a male Rufous Hummingbird was at a feeder in = Farmington (adjacent to Fayetteville-- Ann Johnson, 356 E. Ralston, Farming= ton, AR 72730, 479-267-2554). Three merganser species tallied by different = parties Hooded Mergansers were expected, but the two Red-Breasted Merganser= s were a HUGE surprise, but not the first ones tallied on the count. They= are not expected in northern Arkansas at this time of year. Common Mergans= er has been found on 7 previous counts. One party found a Sora, not common= in the second half of December. =0A =0AA Surf Scoter is being seen at Treadway=E2=80=99s Minnow Farm. =0A =0AAn adult Wilson=E2=80=99s Warbler was observed on Crooked Creed above La= ke Harrison. =0A =0AAt Lake Maumelle at Loon Point (the first rest stop past the marina) a P= acific Loon was swimming very close to shore. They were= feeding in the northern part of the North Waterfowl Sanctuary. The water = level at the refuge has started to drop exposing a muddy/grassy area.
