A cold front passed by between 1 and 2 PM, lowering the temp. from a mild 17C to 9C. Humidity rose from 67% at 1 PM to 84% at 2 PM. Barometer about 29.65, slowly rising. Raptor Observations: Apparently not a good day for raptor migration, but a reasonable number of TVs. Winds were light to moderate southeast becoming light east-northeast late in the day. Raptor Observations: While numbers overall were slightly off yesterday's, viewing was much more pleasant with birds lower than the previous day. Particularly enjoyable was lots of great looks at Rough-legs, as we have now seemingly hit our stride with this species with many good days to come I'm sure. The peak is generally around the middle of the month. A Short-eared Owl in the first hour of the count was a nice treat. Non-raptor Observations: There was a good movement into the area today of Song Sparrows and Juncos.
