Weather:
Today was another mostly sunny and pleasantly spring-like day. Winds were
light to moderate southeast becoming light east-northeast late in the day.
Raptor Observations:
While numbers overall were slightly off yesterday's, viewing was much more
pleasant with birds lower than the previous day. Particularly enjoyable was
lots of great looks at Rough-legs, as we have now seemingly hit our stride
with this species with many good days to come I'm sure. The peak is
generally around the middle of the month. A Short-eared Owl in the first
hour of the count was a nice treat.
Non-raptor Observations:
There was a good movement into the area today of Song Sparrows and Juncos.
Eastern Bluebird was a new arrival.
