Observers:
Weather:
Sunny cloudless skies prevailed throughout the day today with light
northwest winds becoming light to moderate north-northwest in the
afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Today saw a marked improvement over recent days but there was a noticeable
lack of certain species (Harriers and Kestrels) and less than expected
numbers for some others (Rough-leg). Red-tails dominated overall with
variations including a rufous morph and a partially albino individual.
Also, one Red-tail appeared to have a mix of genes showing "Western" traits
(dark head and most of lower body and a more uniformly dark upper body) and
"Eastern" traits (lightly marked under wing and unbarred red tail).
