Weather:
Northerly winds, cool but sunny.
Raptor Observations:
A very slow day: nearly as many watchers (10) as birds (17). The
northerly winds concentrated the light migratory flight on the hillside.
Anything coming through appeared forced fairly low by the easterly wind.
One of the migrating bald eagles, a full adult, came through about 20
meters directly over us.
Non-raptor Observations:
Jann Randell, Mike Ceci, Dave and Anita Cooney and Bill and Eileen Jowett
helped with the count.
Predictions:
A partly sunny morning with brisk southerly winds, increasing clouds with
possible showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. There could be a
flight in front of the coming storms.

Red-tails including the first juvenile noted so far this spring.
Non-raptor Observations:
Common Loons were the most conspicuos non-raptor migrants today. Among
passerine arrivals was a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, an early date for this
