across a couple of Yellow-crowned Night-Herons.

06/08/09 - Union, Nipmuck State Forest -- Cerulean Warbler calling and
2 Yellow-billed Cuckoos.

06/08/09 - Southington yard -- WHIP-POOR-WILL singing.

06/08/09 - Stratford, Long Beach -- c. 150 Least Terns actively
feeding off the beach.
Stratford, Short Beach -- 4 Long-tailed Ducks off bars at mouth of
Housatonic; no terns.
Stratford, Stratford Point -- 3 or 4 Common Terns, no Least Terns.
Milford, Milford Point -- 4 or 5 Least Terns.
West Haven, Sandy Point -- no terns, no skimmers

a.m.) a HORNED GREBE in alternate plumage.

Orchard Oriole on the Connover Nature Trail off Clapboard Hill Road;
12+ Saltmarsh Sparrows and 1 Seaside Sparrow in the lower reaches of
the sanctuary (just above I-95), no real public access.
