Date: 14 Jul 2009 9:57pm

reveal and visit the location is being looked into.

07/14/09 - L I Sound off of Norwalk, Darien, Westport -- 2-3:30pm,
10+ WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS, all mid-Sound with about half in NY waters

found none closer to shore. Small numbers of the usual gulls were

Subject: CT Report 07/16/2009

From Andy Griswold, Jim Denham, Glenn Williams, Nick Bonomo:
07/16/09 - Eastern Long Island Sound, offshore between Niantic Bay and

chum slick, just off the stern!
From Don Morgan:
07/16/09 - South Windsor -- two Sedge Wrens sitting together in the
same clump of grass. Subsequently two could be heard singing at the

there, despite dire warnings on the signs. Also many Bobolinks.

Hill opposite the outdoor polo rink were 3 Glossy Ibis (1 adult, 2
juvenile), unusual inland.

at 9:15PM.
From Mark Szantyr:
07/15/09 - South Windsor -- the two Sedge Wrens were very vocal at the
aforementioned location from 8:00 am till 11:00 am. A word of
caution...there is an active Bobolink nest very near to the spot that
the wrens most often are found.
From Ann Orsillo:
07/14/09 - Cornwall, off Route 4 -- Eastern Meadowlark singing from
the top of a tree in the middle of the field on the south end of the
village at 7 AM.
