Yellowlegs From: Jon Woolf <jsw(AT)jwoolfden.com> Date: 10 Apr 2008 6:50am Terry, what condition are the trails in at Brentwood? I was there a week ago and the trail by Pond 3 was completely flooded, inches deep, just like it was for much of last year. -- Jon Woolf Manchester, NH At 05:54 AM 4/10/2008, you wrote: >Yesterday, April 9, I visited the Brentwood Mitigation Area >for the first time this year. We saw a woodcock up close IN THE SCOPE! They say this has never been done before! If you missed out, you can join us next week, when I'm sure Phil Brown will top even this feat! Wednesday at 7. Interesting side note: notice how almost every request from the list serve moderator has been violated in just 24 hours! Rob (a little cranky) Woodward Concord, NH

Keefe" <selchie(AT)verizon.net> Date: 10 Apr 2008 5:26pm I am depressed- I found the cutest little owl that had somehow gotten into our garage and managed to tangle itself up hoplessly in an old fishing net. It must have only been a day or so ago. I think it is a Saw-whet. Anyone at Audubon or anywhere that could use it for educational purposes? It is still in pretty good shape. Dan Durham, NH

[ << | >> | ^^ ] Subject: Re: Capital Chapter Field Trip-Morrill's Farm From: "PAMELA HUNT" <biodiva(AT)verizon.net> Date: 10 Apr 2008 10:47pm Hey all, Just an FYI on this given that the forecast calls for rain. The trip will go if the rain is light or drizzle, since this is unlikely to affect the birds and may even ground some waterfowl. Heck, even bring an umbrella. If it's much heavier I'm guessing we'll not go, but I'll be at the meeting spot in any event since it's only a mile from my house. You can try calling, but if the rain is light, I might have opted to walk down, meaning I'll be leaving a little after 7. Think drizzle!
