Subject: Swamp Sparrows and Meadowlark in North Hampton
From: tbbirds(AT)comcast.net (Terry Bronson)
Date: 29 Apr 2008 5:46pm
A brief check of Lovering Road in North Hampton this
morning yielded the following highlights:
Swamp Sparrow--8, 5 seen and 3 heard
Eastern Meadowlark--1 at field at east end near I-95
American Goldfinch--10, 8 beautiful yellow males, 2 females
Red-winged Blackbird--35
Common Grackle--50
Northern Flicker--1
Cooper's Hawk--2 flying together
A fellow I met said there were Orioles at Runnymede Farm,
but I couldn't find any.
The coast from North Hampton State Beach south to Route
101 in Hampton was rather foggy, with visibility being limited
to only about 100 yards in places, so I headed home.
