Subject: Plum Island's PRNWR ~ Closure ~ 12/9/09
From: Sue McGrath <newburyportbirders(AT)comcast.net>
Date: 24 Nov 2009 8:48am
New Hampshire Birders,
Parker River National Wildlife Refuge will be closed on Wednesday,
December 9, 2009 for the annual deer culling. A
controlled, white-tailed deer hunt is a part of a comprehensive Refuge
Wildlife Management Program. This annual
program helps maintain the deer population at a level commensurate with
foraging habitat.
Best wishes,
Sue

Subject: late hawk
From: Susan Hunter <slhunter(AT)comcast.net>
Date: 24 Nov 2009 12:48pm
Yesterday, a beautiful Red Shouldered Hawk swooped across Liberty
Hill Road, in Bedford, right in front of my car and landed in a snag.
Quite breath taking, but isn't it a little late for this guy ?
