Late post from last week,
Drove up the coast-
There were three winter plumage horned grebes off seal rocks in rye.
They dove and I waited for them to surface.
They either drowned or surfaced near the Isle of shoals.
I know they can stay down for a long time but I had to leave.
There were some long tails and surf scoters off Raged Neck, Rye..
Goldeneye of pulpit rock could have been the Barrows but too far out to ID.

Today at 1:00 we saw an immature eagle with a dark beak, mottled covert
feathers, and no white on head or tail. Quite a big bird. Seen on the west
side of lower Dover Point
