----INCLUDING text/plain MIME SECTION----
Birders,
My brother and I spent a week in Costa Rica in November. If you enjoy trip
reports I put together a blog detailing some of activities and sightings. I
included a few of the better pictures of birds butterflies as well.
The blog can be found at: http://mycostaricatrip09.blogspot.com/
Take care,
Tom Pavlik

Blackcaps in Germany have been studied, and two distinct populations have e=
volved, the one who feed on feeders and the one who keep feeding from fruit=
s/berries. They don't seem to interbreed and have now distinct migration ro=

Subject: [birders] Northern Shrike @ Oakwoods

Birders,
A Northern Shrike has been @ the park for about a week now. He can be found
near the staging area by the railroad tracks in Oakwoods. He has been
spotted on both sides of the road in that area; and can be somewhat
skittish. Good luck.

Sorry for late post. Our oldest daughter works at Selfridge Base, has =
clearances etc. saw the owl today at about 1:30PM It was on the flight =
line and they were trying to scare it off with sound guns. (and hoping =
they wouldn't shoot it for real!) It likes the open space and was =
perched on a tower in the middle of the airfield as she emailed me! =
Later from another email she stated they managed to scare it south over =
by North River Road. Photos hard to get because of fencing along the =
flight line!
