The Snowy Owl still is returning to the flight line daily at Selfridge =
ANG/AFB. Let's hope it stays around to be counted this Saturdays Anchor =
Bay CBC!
It appears to be an adult---mostly all white with some black streaking =
on the rump and upper tail.

A female type Summer Tanager has been visiting a feeder in Traverse City =
for some time. Several have observed it up there before being confirmed =
by Leonard Graf. Photos have been taken.

AT 11:20 a.m. TODAY OBSERVED THE Hummer for about 10 minutes. First in large
tree with all the feeders, then the heated nectar feeder. Flew in from right
side of rear of home and then after nourshing itself flew in Spruce on left side
of rear of home. Also the usual feeder birds plus one Red Br. Nuthatch.

Apparently there is a word of German origin that is used for the
imprint of a bird's wing in the snow. Does anyone know what that might
be?
