These Boreal Owl images were taken on the morning of December 30, 1996 in Boston, Massachusetts. They were taken using natural light from a minimum distance of 18 feet.
This bird has been roosting fairly regularly in the yew trees in front of 270 Commonwealth Avenue. 270 is on the inbound side of Commonwealth Avenue (heading toward Boston Common) between Gloucester and Fairfield Streets.
