Ducks at a Distance: A Waterfowl Identification Guide
An electronic version of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service handbook of the same name by Bob Hines (1912-94). Features illustrations of North American ducks, geese, and swans in flight emphasizing fall and winter plumages. A similar publication from the Central Flyway Waterfowl Council, Waterfowl Identification in the Central Flyway, features illustrations with more emphasis on profiles of standing birds. Both electronic versions are hosted by Northern Prairie Science Center.
