Evening Lecture/Early Morning Field Trip Series
- April 15 - June 11: I offer an evening
lecture/early morning field trip series for Massachusetts Audubon.
Lectures focus on identification by eye and by ear, and meet in Cambridge
from 7-9 p.m. on April 15, 17, 22 and 24.
Field trips to the
Real World of the Fresh Pond Reservation
and to the
Other World of the Mount Auburn Cemetery
leave at 7:00 a.m on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from April 30 through June 11.
Cost is $60.00 for Mass. Audubon members, $70.00 for non-members.

Mount Auburn related events for 1997 which I will be leading:
- May 12:
I will lead the first of two Friends of Mount Auburn birdwalks
focussing on song, from 7-9 a.m., on Monday, May 12, leaving from Story Chapel.
Registration is required. Fee: $3.00 members, $8.00 non-members.

An annual event that many people come back for year after year.
- May 16:
I will lead my second Friends of Mount Auburn walk on Friday, May 16 from 7-9 a.m.,
leaving from Story Chapel as before. Contact the Friends as above.
Fresh Pond related events for 1997 which I will be participating in:
- May 10: International Migratory Bird Day will be
celebrated on May 10th this year. Walks will leave Glacken Field
on Huron Avenue at 7:00 a.m and 9:00 a.m.

October 15 - December 10: I offer a Fall Waterfowl Program
for Massachusetts Audubon, including regular Wednesday morning trips to
Fresh Pond and two Saturday trips to other prime locaitons.
- November 2: Our International Migratory Waterfowl Day
will be celebrated on Sunday, November 2 at the
height of the migration at Fresh Pond. Start anywhere and walk
around the pond. You'll encounter volunteers with binoculars,
spotting scopes and handouts, ready to show waterfowl to their
neighbors.

Conservation Commission and the Cambridge Water Department is
