From Bangor international Airport, turn right on Union Street and go straight through Brewer to Ellsworth (Rt. 1A) . At Ellsworth, turn left on Rt. 1 North (opposite McDonald's), and go 50 miles to Columbia Falls.
Turn right onto Rt. 187 and go 11 miles to Jonesport. When you come to the stop sign, turn left.
If you are going to the "Puffin House," go 7 tenths of a mile (about 1 kilometer), to a Puffin on a post next to a lane that goes up the hill to a 2 1/2 story house - the "Puffin House". Go to the back door and make yourself at home.
To get to the boat departure point, continue past the "Puffin House" lane, 6 tenths of a mile to the Sawyers Square Road (opposite Kings Lumber), turn right, and go straight to the water.
From Machias, take Rt. 1 South, and just after Jonesboro turn left on Rt. 187. Go about 12 miles, turn left on Sawyers Square Road (opposite Kings Lumber), and go straight to the water and boat departure point.
