OnLocation(sm): Research in Illinois (The Virtual Trip)

Illinois Map Sorry, This Trip is Currently Unavailable!

Due to limited disk space this trip is currently unavailable.
We will rerun this trip starting sometime in the Summer of 1998.

This tour shows a view of ornithological research being done in Illinois by researchers from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. The tour starts off with a short birding trip covering some of the breeding species in the area and then covers some of the field work being done by the researchers.

OnLocation(sm) will allow you to navigate through 11 scenes of Middle Fork State Wildlife Area in Danville, Illinois in search of the 26 species of birds we've interspersed there (16 have accompanying song/calls). From there use the map to visit some of the researchers as they perform their field work both at Middle Fork and in Wilmington, Illinois (46 scenes).

Thanks go to to Steve Bailey and Jennifer Nesbit for their assistance in finding birds, the field crews for allowing The Virtual Birder to record their work, and Scott Robinson for his support both for this feature and in general.
