Welcome to the Birding Hotline for Interior Alaska as of  January 18, 
2010. 

A GREAT GRAY OWL was seen on Cache Creek Rd off Murphy
Dome Rd on January 9.

A SHARP-SHINNED HAWK was hunting at a feeder off of the old
 Nenana Highway on January 17.

 A female THREE-TOED WOODPECKER was at a feeder in the 
Cripple Creek area on January 8.


Upcoming events include:
Birds of Queensland in Austral Winter- Will be presented at the ABO
 visitor center on January 27 at 7:00 PM. Call 451-7159 for more
 information.

February 17, 7:00 pm: Kanuti Whimbrels: Unlocking the Mystery of 
Their Southward Migration with biologist Chris Harwood at the Alaska
 Bird Observatory. Call 451-7159 for more information.
