Welcome to the Arkansas Rare Bird Alert for July 29, 2010, sponsored by the
Audubon Society of Central Arkansas (ASCA). ASCA meets at 7:00pm the second
Thursday of each month. The next field trip is September 18, 2010, to Bell
Slough WMA. We will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the main entrance south of
Mayflower.Check the www.ascabird.org website for details on upcoming meetings
and field trips.

A possible juvenile CAVE SWALLOW has been photographed at the River Run West

this observation would establish the 4th state record.
An Inca Dove was seen last Monday from 5 pmuntil dark inPangburn. It has not
returned since that evening, but interested birders may call Terry Butler at
501-728-3540 for more information.
Piping Plovers are at Bald Knob NWR in the field on your right as you are coming
from Bald Knob and before you reach the grain bins.
