This is a summary of reports from the Northern California 
BirdBox, sponsored by the Golden Gate Audubon Society, compiled
01 June 2009 at 05:55 a.m.
         
Highlights: WILLOW FLYCATCHER, ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER, CAPE MAY WARBLER, 
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, NORTHERN PARULA, OVENBIRD, CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, 
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, INDIGO BUNTING.

On May 31, at Pt Reyes National Seashore, the singing male CAPE MAY WARBLER 
continues at the Lighthouse residence. The (2) BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS were at

the pines east of the residence at the Fish Docks. A female INDIGO BUNTING and

On May 31, a singing male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in the eucalyptus trees in
the
open field between the Bolinas Grocery Store and the Bolinas Library. Another
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was seen at Stinson Beach. (Keith Hansen) 

On May 31, at Pt Reyes National Seashore, a male CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was in 
the lupines on the south side of the trail near the Coast Guard antennas and 
dishes just up from the parking lot at the Lighthouse. At the Fish Docks,
a male and female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, female INDIGO BUNTING, and 
ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER were seen. And at the RCA Station, an OVENBIRD was
seen briefly. (Ruth Rudestill)

Correction
On May 30, at Pt Reyes National Seashore, a singing male CAPE MAY WARBLER was
found at the Lighthouse along with (2) BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLERS. 
(2) female NORTHERN PARULA, (2) ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAKS, an adult male 
MAGNOLIA WARBLER and female INDIGO BUNTING were seen at the Fish Docks.
An OVENBIRD was at the RCA Station, found by Les Lieurance. And a male
MAGNOLIA WARBLER was found later in the day ate Drake's Beach- maybe the same.
