This is a summary of reports from the Northern California

Highlights: LITTLE GULL, ARCTIC TERN, LEAST FLYCATCHER, CALIFORNIA CONDOR,
BLACK SWIFT, PURPLE MARTIN, RED-EYED VIREO, AMERICAN REDSTART, OVENBIRD.

El Dorado Co.
-------------
On Jun 5, a juvenile LITTLE GULL was feeding in the South Truckee Marshes
with (4) Forster's Terns in South Lake Tahoe. Evidently, the birds flew off
to the east towards the Nevada State Line. Later, an ARCTIC showed up in
the same marsh. The LEAST FLYCATCHER was singing along the Carson River
just before end of Carson River Road, where it connects with Diamond Valley Road
off of Hwy 88. It was upstream from the house at that intersection.
A WILLET was further down the river near the highway at the Nevada State
line. (John Sterling, Todd Easterla)

Monterey Co.
------------
On May 31, a CALIFORNIA CONDOR, (2) BLACK SWIFTS and a PURPLE MARTIN
were seen from the Nepenthe Restaurant in the Big Sur area.
(Peter Metropulos)

Sacramento Co.
--------------
On Jun 1, 3 and 5, an OVENBIRD has been found in the vacant blue oak
woodland between Cottage Way and Alto Arden Expressway in Sacramento. It
has been singing each morning, east of Federal Building parking lot at
2800 Cottage Way. (Jim "??")

San Francisco Co.
-----------------
On Jun 2, at noon, a RED-EYED VIREO and AMERICAN REDSTART were seen in
Glen Canyon Park. The vireo in the tall eucalyptus trees behind the day care
center. The redstart was south of the day care center in the pines and
eucalyptus trees. (David Armstrong)
