This is a summary of reports from the Northern California 
BirdBox, sponsored by the Golden Gate Audubon Society, compiled
04 March 2010 at 07:35 p.m.

Highlights: RED-NECKED GREBE, WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, GLAUCOUS GULL,
BLACK RAIL, HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER.

Alameda Co.
-----------
On Mar 2, a HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was seen on the trail NW of Jordan Pond
in Garin Regional park in Hayward, off of the Garden Avenue entrance.
Park in the lower parking lot, take the trail at the south end, following
the creek, when you reach a long wooden bench and garbage container,
walk another 20-25 yards where a live oak tree will be on your right.
The flycatcher and two ALLEN'S HUMMINGBIRDS were in this area.

On Feb 25, BLACK RAILS were heard 0.15 mile past the entrance kiosk at 
Coyote Hills Regional Park. VIRINIA RAILS and a SORA were also heard.

On Feb 27, a RED-NECKED GREBE was seen north of Crissy Field from the Golden
Gate Overlook, which is east of the Plover Protection Area and
north of the west end of Crissy Lagoon.

San Mateo Co.

On Feb 28, a first-cycle GLAUCOUS GULL cruising north along the ocean 
bluffs at the Tour Staging Area at Ano Nuevo State Reserve.

On Feb 25, a male WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was seen on the north side of
the Brisbane Marina, near the fishing pier. (Don Pendleton)
