(Some early migrants reported this week: Pacific Slope Flycatcher, Hooded

On private property in Newport Beach a wintering ORCHARD ORIOLE through
today.
EASTERN PHOEBE continues at Mason Regional Park (through the 9th) around the
entrance area.
COMMON MURRE off Newport Pier on the 8th. Also 4 lines of BRANT moving
north, with as many as 50 birds in one group.
AMERICAN BITTERN at Bolsa Chica Preserve on the 8th around the boardwalk.
BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER at Mason Regional Park on the south side of the
park.
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (positive ID) at Carbon Canyon Regional Park across
the street from the tennis courts in the large Pepper trees.
ZONE-TAILED HAWK at Irvine Regional Park on the 7th.
