Observers: Richard Thunen, Jim Roe, Tom Benson, John Sterling, Brian
Daniels, Robert McNab, Brad Singer.
The SOOTY TERN continues at Bolsa Chica preserve, although there are
periods where birders did not see the bird. The last report is from today.
The tern is by the abandoned blind on "Tern Island"....seen by scoping from
the boardwalk or from the bike path at Bolsa.
Also at Bolsa, from Harriett Weider Park overlook, two SEMIPALMATED
SANDPIPERS continued today, down from 4 from the 14th..
A SOLITARY SANDPIPER was at San Joaquin Wildlife Preserve (Irvine) on the
17th.
A CATTLE EGRET was at the mouth of San Juan Creek, Doheny State Beach, on
the 14th.
