The WHITE-WINGED DOVE finally left a feeder at Dana Point this week after
spending 9 days defending it against Mouring Doves.
An immature LITTLE BLUE HERON (with dusky wing tips) was apparently first
photographed/announced at Bolsa Chica on the 27th, and has been seen through
today.
A LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was around shrubs on Shellmaker Island in Upper Newport
Bay on the 28th.
A SOLITARY SANDPIPER (2nd pond from Audubon House) was reported on the 27th
at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary, while today a PECTORAL SANDPIPER was
also reported from the Sanctuary (Pond D)
