On 30 Jun Ruth and Patrick Sullivan found a breeding plumaged MARBLED
MURRELET in the Columbia River near Wanapum State Park near Vantage in
Kittitas Co WA. The bird was southwest from the boat launch south of Vantage
on the west side of the river. WA DeLorme 52, A-1.

On 2 Jul an adult ARCTIC TERN was seen just north of Priest Rapids Dam in
Grant Co WA by the Sullivans. The bird was on a small island and visible
from 2 locations: from the end of the road that takes you to the dam from WA
243, and from just south of the community of Desert Aire. WA DeLorme 52,
C-1.

Up to 3 adult BLACK-THROATED SPARROWS are persisting near Vantage, Kittitas
Co WA. First seen back on 3 Jun, they were spotted this past weekend along
Huntzinger Road 1.8 miles south of I-90 OR 0.8 miles north of Wanapum State
Park by the Sullivans and Michael Fleming. WA DeLorme 52, AB-1.

On 25 Jun Tom and Diane Weber found a singing CLAY-COLORED SPARROW on
Steptoe Butte in Whitman Co WA. It was both seen and missed the following
day....This bird is located about 0.5 mile up the road from the picnic area,
about 0.25 mile before the cattle guard, on the north-facing side of the
butte. Also on the butte are 1 or 2 BREWER'S SPARROWS and a BLACK-THROATED
SPARROW, according to Chris Caudill. A BLACK-THROATED SPARROW has been seen
at the very top, near the microwave building about a quarter of the way up,
and on 27 Jun Chris found it at the end of the lower parking lot. Is this
the same bird persisting since 28 May? WA DeLorme 73, D-6.

Two adult NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS were observed at Horn Rapids Co Park, Benton
Co WA northwest of Richland this past weekend by the Sullivans. WA DeLorme
39, AB-5.

This past weekend on the Walla Walla River delta in western Walla Walla Co
WA, the Sullivans report a CLARK'S GREBE, an adult GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL, a
FRANKLIN'S GULL, and a SEMIPALMATED PLOVER. The delta can be accessed 0.1
mile north of Madame Dorian Park. There's a pull-out along US 12 at milepost
306.9 and a path to the delta. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.

LEAST FLYCATCHERS. A few more new reports: WASHINGTON: On 26 Jun Mike and
MerryLynn Denny report 2 are persisting at the southeast corner of
Bennington Lake just east of Walla Walla, Walla Walla Co, and a single bird
at the jct of McCown and North Fork Coppei Creek east of Dixie, Walla Walla
Co. IDAHO: Mike Haldeman found 2 LEAST FLYCATCHERS on 25 Jun at Boundary
