This is the Chicago Audubon Society bird report for Wednesday, March 
26, 2008 at 10:00pm.

About 20 COMMON REDPOLLS and a FIELD SPARROW were seen today at the 
feeders at the Springbrook Golf Course.

A SAW-WHET OWL was seen yesterday in downtown Chicago.

Over 1000 SANDHILL CRANES were seen March 24th over Crabtree Nature Center.

An EARED GREBE was at Fermilab on March 24th.

Fifteen COMMON REDPOLLS were still present the 23rd at the Enabling 
Gardens at the Chicago Botanic Gardens.

A HOARY REDPOLL was seen March 20th in Calumet Park.

Seen at Montrose on March 23rd were two WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, BLACK 
SCOTER, and a GLAUCOUS GULL.

Two BLACK SCOTERS and a THAYER'S GULL were at Rainbow Beach on the 23rd.

Three WHITE PELICANS were seen March 23rd at the Widewaters on the 
Des Plaines River.

Three WHITE PELICANS were also at Nelson Lake Forest Preserve on the 23rd.

A GOLDEN EAGLE and four BALD EAGLES were seen March 23rd at Heidecke Lake.

Seen at Saganashkee Slough on March 22nd were 30 COMMON LOONS, three 
WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, and three TRUMPETER SWANS.

Two TRUMPETER SWANS were also still at Lake Katherine on the 22nd, 
and three TRUMPETER SWANS were at Baker's Lake on the 20th.

Two LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS were seen March 22nd at Independence 
Grove Forest Preserve.

Seen at Winthrop Harbor's North Point Marina on March 22nd were 25 
WHITE-WINGED and one BLACK SCOTER, and six LESSER BLACK-BACKED, one 
GREAT BLACK-BACKED, 10 THAYER'S, three KUMLIEN'S, and one GLAUCOUS GULL.

Fifteen WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS and one BLACK SCOTER were at Waukegan 
Harbor on March 22nd.

Two EUROPEAN GOLDFINCHES were seen March 19th and 20th at a feeder in Zion.

A PINE WARBLER was seen March 15th in Thatcher Woods.
