Hello, birders this is Greg Scyphers with the Lahontan Audubon Society Bird
Alert covering northern Nevada and adjacent California for Thursday,
November 22, 2001.  (All locations are for the Reno area unless otherwise
noted.)

On October 27th, Dennis Serdehely found a Winter Wren and a Varied Thrush
at Numana Fish Hatchery near Wadsworth.

At the Sutcliff Fish Hatchery, both Herring Gulls and Glaucous-winged Gulls
have been reported this month.

Bob Goodman reports seeing a Tundra Swan at Swan Lake outside of Reno on
the 19th.  He also veiwed a dark morph Rough-legged Hawk there.


All of the following reports are from central and southern Nevada.

On November 17th, Jack Cochran reports that the Brown Thrasher is still at
Corn Creek along with a White-throated Sparrow.  At Corn Creen on the 10th,
there was an American Tree Sparrow and two Varied Thrushes, also reported
by Jack.

On November 11th, Jack reports seeing two Zone-tailed Hawks at Pahranagat
NWR in Lincoln County.
