This is a Rare Bird Alert for Southwestern Ohio (Dayton) for
Thursday, April 24, 2008, sponsored by the Dayton Audubon
Society.

The following WARBLERS are being seen throughout the Miami Valley in
places such as Spring Valley Wildlife Area and Englewood MetroPark:
YELLOW, YELLOW-RUMPED, YELLOW-THROATED, BLUE-WINGED, PROTHONOTARY,
PALM, and NORTHERN PARULA.

A first-of-the-season BALTIMORE ORIOLE was observed at Spring Valley
Wildlife Area this evening, while a first-of-the-season RUBY-THROATED
HUMMINGBIRD was seen at a private residence on Martindale Road today.

CASPIAN TERNS were seen at Caesar Creek Lake beach today.

BLACK-AND-WHITE, NASHVILLE, and BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLERS were
seen at a residence in Butler Township north of Dayton.

A BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON continues to be seen at Englewood
MetroPark north park.

On April 21st, a female PURPLE MARTIN was seen at Aullwood Gardens.

On April 22nd, a SOLITARY SANDPIPER was observed at Englewood
MetroPark.
