This is a Rare Bird Alert for Southwestern Ohio (Dayton) for
Thursday, June 26, 2008, sponsored by the Dayton Audubon
Society.
A BURROWING OWL has been seen in the Greenville area by several
observers over the past week.
On June 24th, 28 species were seen at Hobart Urban Nature Preserve in
Troy, including GRASSHOPPER and FIELD SPARROW; DICKCISSEL, and
BALTIMORE and ORCHARD ORIOLE. This 80 acre grassland park is accessed
by taking the Route 55 exit off of IR 75 east and then turning left
at the first street which is Dorsett. Just continue until you see
park sign on right side of road.
