Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday February 27. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
at 503-233-3976.

The two MOUNTAIN PLOVERS were seen throughout the week on the beach north of
Flores Lake. On February 20 a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was in North Bend.

On February 26 a VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW was at Myrtle Point. A BURROWING OWL
was seen February 20 at the South Jetty of Yaquina Bay. A dark phased
GYRFALCON was reported February 24 at the South Jetty of the Columbia River.

On February 24 a male EURASIAN TEAL was at Oaks Bottom in Portland. An early
RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was at a Hillsboro feeder February 19. One  was in
Corvallis and another in Portland February 25.

On February 18 two VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS were near The Dalles. Forty
VIOLET-GREENS and two TREE SWALLOWS were seen February 22 over the Deschutes
River in Trout Creek Recreation Area south of Maupin. One was south of
Klamath Falls February 26. A TURKEY VULTURE was west of Hampton February 25.
On February 22 a REDPOLL visited a Baker city feeder. A visit to Mickey Hot
Springs in the Alvord Basin February 24 found a flock of 90 GRAY-CROWNED and
six BLACK ROSY-FINCHES. Six SAGE SPARROWS were also in the area.
