Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 6. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On March 2 a BEWICKıS SWAN was at Lower Klamath NWR. A CARDINAL was reported
March 1 at Dayton.
TUNDRA SWANS, SNOW GEESE, AND ROSSıS GEESE are now increasing in the Klamath
Basin. Single ROSSıS GEESE were reported during the week at Gold Beach,
Ankeny NWR, and Sauvie Island. YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS are now increasing as
their migration begins.
On March 2 four PALM WARBLERS were near Flores Lake. The TREE SPARROW is
still being seen on the North Spit of Coos Bay. The March 1 offshore boat
trip out of Newport found eight LAYSAN ALBATROSS, a MANX SHEARWATER, a
POMARINE JAEGER, and 40 KITTIWAKES.
On March 1 a GOSHAWK was at Smith/Bybee Lakes in North Portland. The
GLAUCOUS GULL continues to be seen at the Fernhill Wetlands. Another
GLAUCOUS GULL and a BLACK PHOEBE were at the Fern Ridge Reservoir Dam March
2.
On March 3 six BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were at Willow Cove near Arlington.
