Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 13. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976. 

On March 9 a CARACARA was reported between Monroe and Finley NWR. It could
not be relocated. A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen March 10 near
Redmond. 

Heavy movements of waterbirds were reported during the week including
WHITE-FRONTED, CANADA, SNOW, and ROSSıS GEESE, TUNDRA SWANS, and WHITE
PELICANS. Ten BLUE GEESE were seen at Summer Lake March 9.

Four ROCK SANDPIPERS were seen March 9 on the South Jetty of the Rogue River
at Gold Beach. On March 8 an immature BROWN PELICAN was at Yaquina Head
north of Newport.

A SAYıS PHOEBE was at the Portland Airport March 9. On March 10 a EURASIAN
GREEN-WINGED TEAL was at Aloha. On March 8 a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE and a LEWISıS
WOODPECKER were near Brownsville. A WHITE PELICAN was seen March 8 at Fern
Ridge Reservoir. 

The RED-BREASTED MERGANSER continues to be seen on Link River in Klamath
Falls.
