Heavy migrations during the week brought many warblers, flycatchers, and
shorebirds. There were several reports of CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRDS in the
Willamette Valley. 

On April 19 a MANX SHEARWATER and a breeding plumaged ROCK SANDPIPER were at
Cape Arago. A BURROWING OWL was seen April 20 on the North Spit of Coos Bay.

On April 19 a BLACK-NECKED STILT was at Chinook Landing near Troutdale. A
WESTERN KINGBIRD was there the next day. A WESTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported
April 17 in Portland. A WESTERN TANAGER was at Mt. Tabor in Portland April
19. Four WESTERN TANAGERS and a WESTERN KINGBIRD were Skinnerıs Butte in
Eugene April 18. A BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK was in Springfield April 19.

A CHAT  was at Myrtle Creek April 17. A LAZULI BUNTING and a BLACK-HEADED
GROSBEAK were near Grants Pass April 18. The next day both species were in
Sunny Valley. On April 20 a HERMIT WARBLER was  in Merlin.

A WESTERN KINGBIRD was near Mosier April 19. On April 18 three PURPLE
FINCHES were at Powell Butte.
