Welcome to Pennsylvania Audubon's and the Patriot-News' Birdline. This 
Birdline covers sightings made primarily during the week prior to 
Thursday, June 25, 2009.

  CENTRE COUNTY:
Bald Eagle State Park yielded 1 adult and 2 juvenile BALD EAGLES on June 
20 (CG).

CUMBERLAND COUNTY:
A late COMMON LOON was observed in Children's Lake at Boiling Springs on 
June 21 (HW, KW).

A BLUE GROSBEAK was found along Hunter Road west of Newville on June 23 
(BO).

ELK COUNTY:
Two WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were seen on June 16 north of St. Mary's 
(JF).

LANCASTER COUNTY:
An unspecified number of BALD EAGLES and 6 FORSTER'S TERNS were seen at 
Conejohela Flats on June 23 (CC).

Two immature BALD EAGLES were spotted on the Susquehanna River near the 
dam on June 23 from Susquehannock State Park (VFl, JFl).

LEBANON COUNTY:
An immature SANDHILL CRANE was seen from the rail-trail on Lake Duffy in 
State Game Lands 145 between June 19 and 24 (RM, KS, BO, ME).

SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY:
Six PINE SISKINS continue to visit feeders at Mild Can Corners through 
at least June 18 (HF).
