My reporting area includes all of Lehigh and Northampton Counties with the
northern edge of the area reaching Beltzville State Park and the southern
edge reaching Peace Valley Park in Bucks County. Updates are typically done
every Thursday, more often when necessary.

Whitehall Township Public Library. Kim Van Fleet will do a program called
"Harnessing the Wind with Turbines - Friend or Foe?"

Sightings from the DELAWARE WATER GAP area, Northampton County included:
Peregrine Falcon - 1 on 1/23 (at the Arrow Island Overlook).
Also Bald Eagle.
Sightings from the NAZARETH QUARRY, Northampton County included:
Snow Geese - ~15,000 on 1/23
CACKLING GOOSE - 1 on 1/23.
Also Hooded Merganser.
Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
CLAY COLORED SPARROW - 1 from 1/21 to at least 1/30.
Also Field, Chipping, and Savannah Sparrow.
Sightings from EAST ALLEN TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
At Seiple's Pond: Northern Shoveler.
Sightings from GRAVER'S HILL, Northampton County included:
SNOW BUNTINGS - 45 on 1/22.
Sightings from BELTZVILLE STATE PARK, Carbon County included:
RED-NECKED GREBE - 1 on 1/28.
Sightings from LEASER LAKE, Lehigh County included:
Golden Eagle - 1 on 1/23.
Sightings from the ALLENTOWN area, Lehigh County included:
At the Dorney Park pond: American Wigeon and Lesser Scaup.
Sightings from LOWER MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Lehigh County included:
NORTHERN SHRIKE - 1 to at least 1/28 (along Jane's Lane).
Sightings from GREEN LANE RESERVOIR, Montgomery County included:
ICELAND GULL - 1 on 1/25.
Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County included:
CACKLING GOOSE - 1 to at least 1/23
Gray Catbird - 1 on 1/23 (at the Chapman Road bridge)
Rusty Blackbird - 1 on 1/22.
Also Hooded Merganser, Bald Eagle, Red-shouldered Hawk, Lesser Black-backed
Gull, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush, and Fox, Field, and Swamp
Sparrow.
