NOW FOR THE BIRDS!
Sightings from BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES - 2 continue to at least 8/11 (at the intersection
of Freemansburg Avenue and Wagner Drive). This represents the 1st
Northampton County record!
Sightings from GREEN LANE RESERVOIR, Montgomery County included:
At the Church Road area:
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS - 2 on 8/7
GLOSSY IBIS - 1 to at least 8/7
Caspian Terns - 2 on 8/10.
Also Bald Eagle, Semipalmated Plover, and Pectoral, Solitary, and
Semipalmated Sandpiper.
Sightings from BAKE OVEN KNOB, Lehigh County included:
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Common Raven, Black-and-white Warbler, and Scarlet
Tanager.
Great Egret, Lesser Yellowlegs, and Spotted and Least Sandpiper were noted
at several sites this past week.
