On Dec 31, Matt White reported 2 GRAY-HEADED race of DARK-EYED JUNCO =
near a cemetery outside Campbell, Hunt Co.
On Dec 30, at the Lake O' the Pines CBC, the Brothertons and Hazel Bluhm =
reported 2 PACIFIC LOONS, Peggy Harding and Dorothy Metzler reported 3 =
SANDHILL CRANES, Bob Metzler re-found the LONG-TAILED DUCK, and Guy =
Luneau and Eddie Ray had 1 AMERICAN TREE SPARROW.
On Dec 30, Truman Powell and Dale Hartsfield report hearing a LONG-EARED =
OWL at the Trinidad CBC. From Hwy 31 in Trinidad, take the first small =
gravel road to the east of 274 north. After approximately 1 mile, the =
road turns to the left, then to the right again. The owl was heard in =
this area. Truman and Dale also report a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK south of Hwy =
31, just east of Kerens and west of Trinidad
On Dec 30, a first-year GLAUCOUS GULL* was found on the Lake Tawakoni =
CBC. The bird was seen flying from a flooded field into the lake itself =
over the dam. The bird was not re-found later that day.
