Multi-Image Slide Shows and Videos for Birders

What is a Multi-Image Slide Show?
A multi-image slide show or presentation uses multiple slide projectors connected and controlled by a computer with a synchronized sound track. Images dissolve from one to another as the sound track and/or narration plays. It is similar to a video only you are dealing with 35mm slides. Our presentations use three slide projectors, original photography, and original sound tracks (some with narration).

Slide Show Catalog
"Vision of Birds" (Multi-image Slide Show)
This show begins with photos of birds of prey then it goes into waders, shore birds, gulls and terns, waterfowl, birds in flight and finally songbirds. The photos for this show were taken at various locations throughout Florida, Southeast Arizona, and Massachusetts.

"At the Water's Edge"
(Multi-image Slide Show)
"At The Water's Edge" takes you close to shorebirds and waders in far-flung habitats as they roost, preen, hunt, and feed. Photos from this show were taken at "Ding" Darling NWR, Stump Pass, Myakka River State Park, and the Venice Rookery in Florida; and South Beach, North Monomoy, Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sancturay and Great Meadows NWR in Massachusetts.

"Birders" (Multi-image Slide Show)
"Birders" turns the mic on a bevy of avian enthusiasts--a husband and wife team, a teenager, a woman, a sanctuary director. As they enthuse about their beginnings in birding, offering advice and anecdotes, the camera follows them in the field.

This show is about people that bird. Seven people discuss why they bird as well as other interesting aspects about birding. Photos of these birdwatchers and a wide range of birds are accompanied by an original sound track. It's a look at the lighter side of birding and we think you will find it to be informative as well as entertaining.

"Arizona" (Multi-image Slide Show)
Come along with Shawn Carey as he explores Arizona... We'll visit stunning mountain and canyon sites, meet the people, and see the birds ... in beautiful Arizona. Take in the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and deserts dotted with rocks and cacti, doves and thrashers... Meet up with two local characters who know ocotillos from seguaros, and rattlesnakes as well as a great sunset... ... then we'll focus on species like Montezuma Quail, Black-chinned Hummingbird, Phainopepla, Acorn Woodpecker, and many others. These stunning photographs and Chris Duval's evocative sound track will inspire you to visit amazing Arizona and experience its beauties first-hand.

"Massachusetts Wildlife" (Multi-image Slide Show)
Come along with Migration Productions as we discover some of Massachusetts' fascinating wildlife. We'll net butterflies and dragonflies, hunt for mammals like White-tailed Deer and chipmunk ... spot birds like a brilliant Yellow Warbler or an elusive Yellowthroat ... get close up and personal with wildflowers, frogs, snakes and turtles... . As you watch the slide images dissolve from one stunning species to the next, and hear Chris Duval's original all-natural, low-carbohydrate soundtrack.

We think you'll be inspired to pack your binoculars and head out to the nearest field, pond, and bog!

Video Catalog

Birders' Exchange Video (Video)
The Birders' Exchange Video is a video brochure designed to explain how people can help in donating used equipment (binoculars, tri-pods, scopes, cameras, etc.) that in turn is sent to people in Central and South America that have little or no equipment. The video explains how the program was started, how you can help, who receives the donated equipment, and why it's so important that we help with such a project. The Birders' Exchange program is run by Betty Petersen (Manomet) with help from ABA. For more information visit Birders' Exchange.

"Looking Skyward: A Passion for Hawkwatching" (Video)
Hawkwatching has become one of the most popular types of "bird watching." This video examines why people watch hawks, explains some of its long, storied history, and explores some of the prime locations for viewing hawk migration in the Northeast (Hawk Mountain and Cape May). Video footage includes a wide range of raptors in flight shot by Don Crockett as well as interviews with Pete Dunne, Bill Clark, and others.

Information on purchasing DVD.

"Looking Skyward" won the top audience award in the Cape Cod Section at the Woods Hole Film Festival 2006.
